Latte Art....

This ain't great, but its my best attempt at a leaf/rosetta in a long time....
I'e only just tried tilting the latte glass at the start of the pour.

Mobile phone photo isn't great either.

What do you think?

That's pretty good Guthers. Have you been practising? I find it really hard to get the sides to loop up like that in a glass - much easier in a cup, especially with a round bottom. Sam's advice to me was that a cup with a wider top is better (and easier) as you have a bigger 'canvas'.

It's more than I could ever hope to do. I think it looks good.

thanks guys.

Mattt - I am currently on the lookout for a tulip-shaped cappucino cup - skinny at the bottom for max crema retention, wide at top for bigger 'canvas' - not heaps easy to find though!

Not really... I make 2 coffees every morning and its not under 'ideal latte art conditions' (ie im usually doing it quickly and rationing the milk so it lasts the week) but I try to do a heart for Adri to begin with then I have a crack at the leaf for myself.

It would be great to buy a whole heap of coffee and a whole heap of milk and just practise...

Maybe we should have a coffee practice day?? Get all our machines together for a day, buy a few litres of milk, a couple of kilos of coffee and go nuts for a day??

I'm offering my place if you'd like...

I'd be up for that. Cafe Bianchi in Leichhart (Sam's fav) has a heap of cups - check it out.

Do you think you're in LA or something? I've just been speaking this morning on the phone to someone in LA and the time over there is the same as the timestamps on your blog!

I'm currently waiting for 2 ACF tulip cappuccino cups to reach me from NZ... not happy NZ Post :(

There's awesome looking ones called Terra Keramik around too, but at US$30 PER CUP I think I'll be saving for a looong time!

hello bros. I'm actually into shoes and I was digging for that singular model. The prices due to the fact that the shoes are about 190 pounds on every page. But finally I set this area selling them for half price. I absolutely want these prada sneakers. I will probably purchase them. what do you think?
